It seems Robin has been looking for inspiration and in a moment of weakness has joined team Hoof Hearted as it’s newest recruit.
With just a couple of second places under his belt, and unable to run slower than a 2 hour 45 marathon he believed things could not get any worse and approached Team Hoof Hearted for help.
We explained how we press on hard in all mountain trail races – between meals, we eat lots; we struggle to take enough photos of the highs and lows, and tend to talk (a lot) to everyone we meet. So with an event cut off of 9 hours we feel we’ve paid for 9 hours and plan to use every minute enjoying the scenery and the event.
Given our clear focus, we don’t know what was going through our new team mates head when he went and finished third! And only used up 5 hours of available time. Three hours less than Marc, Malc and Richard. He barely stopped to enjoy the culinary delights, he barely walked and did not take a single photograph.
Never mind Robin it is good to have you on board – you are young and there’s always next time!
